Field of Dreams!

Last week I went to visit a friend at her home for the first time. She had stated to me numerous of times that she was in the country! But as I traveled from the city… It really hit me! This girl lives in the boondocks! The scenery was so relaxing and I felt at peace. The street that her house is on has the prettiest field! And a dirt road leads you to her home. Her yard was like a little garden!

We sat on this country gone modern porch and talked and laughed and drank. I stayed over and outside the guest room window I could see perfectly aligned fields. Excellent to dream to.

Black Bird in Asheville

I’ve dined in Asheville several times but while there these last couple of trips I had to feast at Black Birds. It is right in the heart of town and the windows are open wide. It feels like you are still on the streets… Walking right along with passerbys. I actually, went there twice during this weekend getaway. But I will feature my brunch!

Escaping At the Biltmore

The Biltmore House and Gardens are becoming an addiction for me. I love the scenery… The mountains and gardens and lakes are all stimulating for me.

I can not wait until my next visit.

A day well spent!

This had to be the perfect Monday! Just to sit and stare at the mountains! Feeling the breeze and seeing the clouds roll in. It really didn’t matter that it began to rain. The Bistro umbrella was there to keep me dry. But even if I had gotten wet; everything would still proven to be great.

Saint Paul’s Mountain Vineyard proved to be the perfect pit stop… That turned into a half day visit. I didn’t even venture on to my original destination. This was GREAT enough!

Trying to stay warm in this SNOW! and SNOW is a bit rare in my area. We get snow but it is here one day and gone the next day. Well not this time! It has been SNOWING almost none stop for two days! WOW! So I must steep! Being inspired by God’s beauty and creative work at play… I decided to play and create too! So steeped my beautiful lady like teas! ‘Lady Like’ you may say?!?! Well, it starts as a bud and as the water boils she blossoms into a beautiful full grown flower or ‘Lady’! These teas come in all different flavors with different color flowers.
