This tea is known as Shincha and literally means “new tea” plucked on May 1, 2012 the Republic of Tea’s Anniversary and the 88th day after the spring equinox.
It is said if one drinks a cup of this tea he will enjoy a year of good health.
I’m not superstitious but the tea is really tasty and the container is gorgeous.
